Academic Integrity

Academic integrity is one of the most cherished principles of the Lamar State College Port Arthur Community. You must adhere to this principle: by understanding the nature of plagiarism and by not plagiarizing materials; by refraining from the use of unauthorized aids on tests and examinations; by turning in assignments which are products of your own efforts and research; and by refusing to give or receive information on tests and examinations to or from other students. If you violate these principles of simple honesty, you risk embarrassment, course failure, and disciplinary action. It is simply not worth it.

Attendance Policy Attendance

You are required to check Blackboard for weekly and daily assignments every week. I will update new assignments every Monday so check your Blackboard accounts every Monday.

If an online lecture is scheduled you are required to attend during set date.

This is an online remote class so you will be responsible for your classwork and homework on your own time. You are required to have assignments turned in on time according to due dates.

I will be systematically checking to see if you are active on Blackboard, I can see that on my end. If I see you are not actively completing your assignments you will be notified either by email or phone call. If you haven’t checked in online in more than 3 weeks you will be at risk of failing the class.

Academic Honesty Academic honesty is expected from all students, and dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated. Please consult the LSC-PA policies (Section IX, subsection A, in the Faculty Handbook) for consequences of academic dishonesty.
Facility Policies
  1. No food or tobacco products are allowed in the classroom.
